"Indian Summer" With Sarah Watson for Art Gallery Fabrics

Generally, the first frosts will be followed by fine, bright, warm days, the glorious suspension of what is certain to come, that perfection of weather is called “Indian Summer”.
I just finished a collaborative photo shoot with some fabulous boutique owners.  We first decided on the theme and what better theme to use was the fabric line "Indian Summer" by Designer Sarah Watson for Art Gallery Fabrics. We all absolutely loved the hues of blues, greens and orange and the versatility that it offered to not only girls but also the boys. (Notice the incredibly adorable baby boy in the romper. ;)

I love the fact that each of us chose different fabrics to showcase on our each individual blog sites. I am a huge fan of blues and I think it looks great on everyone so it was a no brainer for me when I chose "Shimmer Creek" In Blue.  I also knew I wanted to add a coordinate color to give the dress some contrast and ended up choosing "Native Band" in Apricot.   To give it a personal touch I embroidered the blue band and straps on the bodice to give it a more "native" appearance. I love the versatility of this dress and the simplistic style of it.  The straps that go around the shoulders and meet in the middle of the back bodice band make this dress a comfortable wear and secure fit.
Dress is available in size 12 months all the way up to size 14 girls!  That is a vast range of sizing, perfect for any little girl.

Children’s Boutique Collective will be offering these 7 pieces for sale starting the week of July 21st.  The sale will run for two weeks, each boutique had their own unique items to contribute to the photo shoot.

Dreams

"Follow Your Dreams"................that is a statement that you hear time and time again through life, but yet many people wish instead of doing~why is that? Is it the fear of rejection, failure, possibly a realization that the dream that became a reality wasn't really a dream after all?
It was almost two years ago that I finally decided that my "dream" was going to start to become my reality!
I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a granddaughter, a daughter in law, a best friend.............I could go on and on, but for the sake of time I won't. ;)
I am creative.  I always have been.  I somehow have always had the urge to pursue my creative side and never acted on it until God gave me the push I needed through my family.
Lots of determination and hours and continuous learning has placed me into the world of entrepreneur.  Sounds so important, but it means I own a business. :)  No BMW to drive, no fancy vacations, no designer clothes although I did splurge once and bought myself a Coach purse for the sake of always wanting one, just the satisfaction I receive from my customers over and over again who continually bless me with their business.  Most of the money I do make is thrown right back into purchasing things for Rosie Posie Prettie.
For the sake of not boring you to tears, I do have to say at this stage in my life I finally feel like this is where I belong and what I am supposed to be doing.  Creating, creative, creation.  Those three words describe me, my little business of handmade clothing and accessories.  Me, the sole proprietor of myself.  Me, hard work, dedication and determination is all I need along with a strong Faith in God and continuous support of my fantastic husband.  Thanking God daily for Blessing ME and giving thanks for allowing me to "Follow my Dream."
